TERRY's OAK WORM

Pattern Developed by: Terry Rivers, Claton, GA

Materials:

Hook: #12
Head: Pink / Red Craft beads
Rib: Small oval plastic / red down side of body
Body: Black ultra chenille
Ribbing: Palmer black # 14 hackle or one peacock herl
Tail & Horns: Dark brown goose biots

Tying Information:
Bead head first then tie in the tail & horns, then the plastic rib then the hackle or herl, then the chenille last. Wrap the chenille forward, lay the stripe down each side and tie in, palmer the hackle or herl and clip the hackle short. That's it.

This is a deadly dropper for bream in fall as Oak worms hatch and fall into the water and Bream key on them. Fly body is about 1 inch long.
